Open-source server-side tag management and data pipelines
I’ve met Alexander Kirtzel, the creator of walkerOS, and David Vallejo, the mastermind behind Analytics Debugger, at various conferences over the years. Both are brilliant minds in the field of data management and analytics, and it’s exciting to see them venturing into open-source solutions for server-side tag management and data pipelines.
1: Open-source server-side tag management and data pipelines Here are a couple of interesting trends to watch out for.
First, the industrious David Vallejo, mastermind behind Analytics Debugger, has hinted at the release of an open-source server-side tag management system called TagPiper. While details are still sparse, you can follow the company on LinkedIn to get notified of the upcoming release.
Tag Piper In a similar vein, Alexander Kirtzel is the OG here, as he’s the creator of walkerOS, arguably the most versatile open-source data pipeline management system out there.
WalkerOS I very much hope that the future of data management is free and open-source. In the European Union, in particular, it’s vital that we consider data sovereignty as the only means forward, particularly because the infrastructure that our businesses and societies rely on are so vulnerable to geopolitical shifts.
While data analytics is a small, almost insignificant part of the whole, it’s something that can realistically be tackled right now.
